The mission of the Karnes County Humane organization (KCHO) is to assist Karnes County animal control facilities and the local community members in their efforts to provide a safe and healthy environment for the sick, abused, abandoned and homeless animals that come into their care and to increase pet adoption and rescue. To that end, we will provide funding for routine and emergency veterinary services, fostering, rescue networking, and transport to rescue groups and no kill shelters for the pets in need. We are also committed to promoting spay and neuter, as well as, Humane education in order to reduce the neglect, abuse and abandonment of companion animals in Karnes County and the surrounding area.
