` for organization's mission and significant activitiesthe mission of the organization is to advance social & civic interests on the island of martha's vineyard and to uphold the portuguese and Catholic traditions by having an annual feast honoring the namesake of the organization. Also as part of its civic mission, the organization holds annual events which provide scholarships to graduating seniors at the local high school and annual events where the organization offers and provides assistance to people that are in need in the community of martha's vineyard.
