Agassiz Village's mission is to prepare youth for life's journey by providing enriching, educational, and transformative experiences to children and teens from under resourced communities. Founded in 1935, Agassiz Village ensures that young people who face economic hardship, systemic barriers, and trauma have access to a safe, supportive, and joyful environment where they can build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover their strengths.as part of this mission, Agassiz Village operates a 330 acre overnight summer camp in poland, maine; delivers year round college and career readiness programming; provides workforce development opportunities for teens; and partners with schools and community organizations to close opportunity gaps.
