The Boston Area Rape Crisis center (BARCC) works to end sexual violence through healing and social change. As the only Rape Crisis center in greater Boston and one of the nation's oldest, BARCC provides free, inclusive, empowerment-based services to survivors ages 12 and older and their families. Founded as a volunteer-led organization, BARCC continues to rely on a nationally recognized volunteer program that includes 40 hours of counselor training and ongoing supervision and support.
