1) preservation of historic armory and house; tours and education programs regarding the same; participation in local activities including memorial day and veterans day parades; providing a more intensive awareness of our country's beginning and heritage. 2) preservation and display of memorial armory which houses a collection of arms, uniforms, flags andmilitary memorabillia extending from the middle ages to date. Public tours are offered. 3)preservation and display of the general james mitchell Varnum house, built 1773, which has been fully restored and is continually maintained, and is open to the public on a regular basis.
