The corporation was organized to support the mission and purposes of the rhode island zoological society in furtherance of the conservation, education, research and recreation mission of the roger williams zoo, including, without limitation, the acquisition, leasing and maintenance of real estate and improvements thereon for the benefit of the society and the roger williams park zoo, and to carry on such other lawful activities for which a corporation may be formed under the rhode island nonprofit corporation act, in furtherance of the conservation, education, research and recreation mission of the roger williams park zoo.
