The primary exempt purpose of the club is to stimulate interest in the training of Golden Retrievers for hunting and for competition. The club also encourages and promotes quality in the breeding of purebred Golden Retrievers and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. We urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club; to do all in our power to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike conduct at all events. We encourage the conservation of wildlife through the use of properly trained retrievers.
