The Hartwell Foundation Corp MR Russell J Hensley

The Hartwell foundation corporation ("Hartwell") grants awards to individuals for innovative and cutting-edge biomedical applied research that potentially benefits children. Hartwell has full time employees who maintain significant involvement in selecting, screening, investigating and interviewing all nominated researchers as part of the selection process. They review research and meet at least quarterly with researchers by video conference and by traveling to the participating institutions. They manage, supervise and direct the research, monitor its progress and keep the researchers on course. The employees have specialized skills, expertise and involvement in biomedical research. There is an annual meeting in which results are presented and shared.
