Common Ground Relief remains committed to its grassroots, volunteer-based approach to community transformation and sustainability. Achieves its mission by focusing on restoring and preserving louisiana's disappearing coastal wetlands. The organization grows plant material in its lower ninth ward nursery, educates about wetland eco-systems and horticulture, and partners with government entities, non-government organizations and individuals to re-plant threatened wetlands using volunteer labor.
