Leadership Training institute (LTI) is a notforprofit 501(c)(3)organization dedicated to empowering challenged families and children to overcome barriers, tap potential and achieve success through education, mentoring and social justice advocacy. Central to the institute's philosophy are the concepts of advocacy and service, that is, the general welfare of all and the development and maintenance of Leadership qualities and skills. By means of policy, posture and programs, LTI directs its major efforts to the design and implementation of educational, employment, career development, mentoring, juvenile and criminal justice, violence prevention and capacity building initiatives. LTI collaborates with New York colleges and universities providing field placements and internships for undergraduate and graduate students in social work, education, anthropology, sociology, psychology and criminal justice.
