Federation of Italian American Organization of Brooklyn Ltd

The Federation of Italian American organization of Brooklyn ltd. also known as f.I.a.o. Brooklyn is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, charitable community service organization established in 1977. Fiao was created from the efforts of dozens of Italian American organizations to unite, galvanize resources, and provide services to the community during a time when many italians were immigrating to the United States. For over forty years, fiao has provided a gamut of services directed at improving the quality of life for individuals and families in our south Brooklyn community with particular focus on immigrants, seniors, and youth. Today, fiao's free services include social services, counseling, legal services, education, and multicultural programs, and after-school programs in local south Brooklyn schools.
