Urban Homesteading Assistance U-HAB

For over 50 years, uhab has worked to create and sustain resident-controlled housing across New York City and, now, in cities across the country. Our work spans training, technical Assistance, and affordable member services for low-income housing cooperatives, development and preservation of housing CO-ops, clean energy upgrades for affordable cooperatives, homeownership lending, and tenant organizing. Through our national services, uhab helps local organizations and government agencies throughout the us explore affordable housing CO-ops as a viable affordable housing model in their cities.
