HAC's activities can be grouped into three areas: 1) Housing development assistance (consulting for private developers; serving as partner with private developers; technical assistance to not-for-profit organizations; affirmative marketing for Housing developers; tenant/homeowner eligibility screening; preparation of offering plans, contracts, etc.; relocation services; development of small properties) 2) technical assistance to municipalities (preparing Housing needs statements/studies, advising on land use policies and regulations related to affordable Housing; designing and implementing affordable Housing programs; preparing requests for affordable Housing development proposals on municipally-owned sites and reviewing proposals; 3) assistance in implementing programs that expand Housing through creation of accessory dwelling units;4) not-for-profit organization support (back office support; Housing and land use training for civic, organization and government leaders);
