Physicians for Responsibility, Inc. (also known as Physicians for Social Responsibility/NYC or Physicians for Social Responsibility - New York) is committed to the elimination of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, the achievement of a sustainable environment, and the reduction of violence and its causes. PSR-NY works to recognize the consequences of nuclear weapons, nuclear war, and nuclear power, and seeks to alert physicians, the public, and policy makers to such consequences; to recognize the major threats to health from climate change and contamination of the environment, including soil, air and water; and to promote peace, peaceful discourse, and environmental and social justice.
