The Train Foundation

The Train foundation sponsors the civil courage prize for steadfast resistance to evil at great personal risk. The prize of $25,000 is awarded annually by the trustees of the Train foundation at an event, after a worldwide call for nominations, and participation by the advisors in winnowing the candidates. The services required to do this are paid for by the foundation. By increasing awareness of civil courage, the fund's trustees hope to encourage that virtue.the 2025 civil courage prize event was postponed until may 2026.
