Rooted in the landscape of the Hudson Valley, with the plays of william Shakespeare as our touchstone, hudon Valley Shakespeare (hvs) engages the widest possible audience in a theatrical celebration of our shared humanity.in late 2019, hvs commenced a capital campaign to support the creation of a new outsoor, ecologically driven theater campus, in thanks to a generous benefactor who conveyed to the company 98 acres of river-view property in the Hudson highlands. In 2024, hvs commenced construction on its new open-air theater facility, the samuel h scripps theater center. Construction and fundraising are both ongoing.
