Associates of the Art Commission Inc

To foster and promote public and civic interest in and appreciation of works of art in any form including monuments, structures and other objects in the city of New York which are or may be of artistic, historic, cultural or sentimental significance to the city of New York and its citizens. And to take measures which are necessary or desirable to encourage and promote their acquisition and protection by the city of New York and their preservation for future generations. To carry on study and research and to collect and disseminate information and data concerning such works of art, and their history, artistic merit and significance and to keep the public informed concerning the same.
