National Recreation foundation hosted a series of virtual and in-person capacity-building workshops and trainings for grantees in 2024 on various subjects, including: building a board of advocates, data learning for impact, creating a culture of philanthropy, and refilling the change agent's cup. The foundation hosted several cohorts of facilitated peer leadership circles and a liberated soul wellness circle for grantees to support nonprofit leaders with leadership coaching, building peer networks and sharing best practices. Additionally, NRF provided program evaluation support to grantees through a relationship with university researchers specializing in outdoor Recreation program evaluation. These workshops, trainings and coaching are offered at no cost to participants.
