Taconic Resources for Independence, inc. (TRI)is a disability-led advocacy and service organization dedicated to advancing the civil rights, Independence, and full community inclusion of people with disabilities. TRI provides individuals and familes with the information, skills, advocacy and practical support they need to make informed choices, overcome barriers, and live independently in the community. Our services include independent living skills development, benefits counseling, housing assistance and advocacy, information and referral, systems and individual advocacy, transition support, disability rights education, ada technical assistance, deaf and hard-of-hearing advocacy, and professional American sign language interpreting services through direct assistance, community education, partnerships, and advocacy. TRI works to ensure that people with disabilities have equal access, meaningful choices, and the opportunity to participate fully in every aspect of community life.
