To promote the understanding and appreciation of American history, democracy and citizenship, and to preserve the memory and achievements of local men and women who pursued American independence. To celebrate patriotic anniversaries, sponsor awards and scholarships and to maintain the historic General Richard Montgomery house with collections of related artifacts, archival material and oral interpretations.
