Action to Cure Kidney Cancer

ACKC was founded in order to educate the Kidney Cancer patients, caregivers and the general public about the disease; increase federal funding for Cancer research; give modest grants to promising young investigators; publicize the causes and preventions of Kidney Cancer; negotiate with drug companies with respect to testing their products in Kidney Cancer patients.ACKC mostly funds grants whose research big pharma does not find profitable and, over the years, we've issued grants in the amount of $400,000 to Kidney Cancer investigators. We concentrate on raising the awareness of causes such as pfas chemicals,and promote early detection and lifestyle changes since when Kidney Cancer is discovered at an early stage, the survival potential is higher.finally, we lobby congress to appropriate research money for Kidney Cancer. In 2006, were successful in having congress include Kidney Cancer in the department of defense's peer review Cancer research
