To organize and maintain amateur Baseball teams to compete in the amateur athletic union of the United States, inc. program. The purpose of the teams and their participation in the aau program shall be to foster national and international amateur athletic competition by providing access to the aau program for amateur athletes in the greater columbia, south carolina area. By compteting on a national level through the aau program, the athletes will enhance their abilities and be provided an opportunity to compete at a higher level. The formation of the amateur teams to compete in the aau program was initiated during 2004. The players and support for the teams will come from the greater columbia area, but the competitions will be held at various places throughout the United States under the auspices of the aau. The activities related to managing the teams will be carried out by volunteers from the greater columbia area.
