Our mission is to honor the memory of Lt. Thomas F. Healy by bringing comfort through financial assistance and supporting activities to firefighters and their families dealing with the challenges of cancer. Specifically, we provide financial assistance to members of the Fire Department of New York who have family members battling cancer or who are themselves afflicted with cancer. The Foundation distributes funds to qualifying applicants to assist in covering costs that are not traditionally covered by insurance. These include items such as travel, food, lodging, experimental treatment, or other comforts and services for patients or family members that may be needed or desired during treatment.
