Friends of Downtown Americus Inc

The purposes for which this corporation is organized are to stimulate revitalization in Downtown Americus following principles of the main street program as established by the national trust for historic preservation and enacted by Georgia main street. This corporation will provide educational and charitable programs addressing design - improving the appearance, preserving historic architecture and planning for the long-term health of Downtown; economic restructuring-supporting and managing the growth of the Downtown economy; organization-encouraging cooperation and building leadership in the community; promotion-creating a positive image for Downtown as an exciting place to live, shop and invest; and to receive, administer and distribute funds in connection with any activities related to the above purposes: provided however, that the coorporation shall only engage in activities that are purview of section 501 (c) (3) of the internal revenue code of 1958 or corresponding sections of an
