Heading Home's mission is: "to empower individuals experiencing homelessness through compassionate outreach, comprehensive support services, and community partnerships, creating pathways to stable housing and the opportunity to thrive." to accomplish its mission, Heading Home delivers an integrated service model supporting the unhoused and precariously housed individuals and families in albuquerque. They fully own and operate the aoc (albuquerque opportunity center) shelter for men as well as a respite program for men and women supported by five contracted healthcare providers; partner in a community collaborative to operate a medical respite program that provides short-term residential care; and administer three supportive housing programs with intensive case management for qualified individuals and families.
