The primary mission of the organization is to support the fraternal bond of it members by organizing events to promote interaction between active duty marines and navy personnel, corporate members and retired personnel. Preserve the rich Aviation heritage within the Marine CORPS. Promote and recognize professional excellence in Marine CORPS air at patuxent river naval air station, md. And naval air systems command by presenting three annual awards: the john glenn squadron test pilot of the year, acquisition officer of the year, and acquisition staff non- commissioned officer of the year. Assist in the education, by the way of scholarships to students primarily in engineering and hard sciences, who are likely to pursue careers in Marine Aviation.
