Health is a human right. Yet, millions of people die from curable diseases every year because they can't get the right care at the right time. Delay and denial of care are rampant. Clinics are out of reach. Patients cannot afford fees, treatment, and transport costs. The quality of care is inconsistent and infrastructure often poor. Additionally, policy priorities and limited resources mean changing national healthcare systems can be difficult. Evidence-based, effective, and equitable healthcare policies as well as practices exist. But, injustice persists. Founded in 2008, muso doesn't just strengthen health systems, we transform them. Muso champions equitable healthcare by providing quality, timely care, supporting national governments, and influencing policy and practice. Our 1,000+ team members across three countries are United by the shared belief that no one should die waiting for healthcare. Our unique combination of professionalized community health workers, upgraded primary clinics and no user fees eliminates barriers to care, grows trust in the health system and produces rapid results. In just seven years, areas in mali where muso works documented child mortality rates lower than that of any country in sub-saharan Africa, and our expansion into rural mali showed the largest, fastest drop in child mortality ever documented in a conflict zone. We provide high impact technical assistance, supporting partner governments in developing, financing, and implementing policies and strategies that integrate key elements of rapid care, with partnerships in mali, cote d'ivoire, and zambia. Our strategic objective is to enable governments to extend rapid care with policy change for over 60 Million people by 2028.
