To promote Global Understanding through short term service opportunities on community development programs in host communitites outside the United States; working in conjunction with non-governmental organizations in the host communities to identify human and economic development projects and to assist local people with those projects by providing volunteers to assist with these projects. This is the volunteer tourism aspect.to promote Global Understanding through cultural exchange programs in which participants experience the culture of the host country through various cultural activities and by residing with host families during their stay in the host country. This is the cultural exchange aspect.to promote Global Understanding through short term service opportunities in which the participants are employed by businesses located in the host country. This is the work travel aspect.to promote Global Understanding through one year educational exchange programs.
