The National Museum of the American coverlet was incorporated in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania on february 21, 2006 for the purpose of collection, display, preservation and stewardship of, and education regarding, primarily antique woven coverlets, their history and their makers, as further defined and outlined by the following: a)to collect and display fine and interesting examples of coverlets of all weave structures.
