To provide self sustaining educational programs with an environment that promotes positive life skills and values through the sport of sailing to children of all economic and ethnic backgrounds. Using sailing as a vehicle to empower all participants, young and old, Sail Salem's youth and adult programs will help develop independence and self confidence, improve commuication, foster teamwork, and acquire a deeper understanding of community spirt and the power of volunteerism.
