To assist the city of Manchester Fire department in the execution and performance of responsibilities to the citizens of the Manchester Fire department fire district with regards to the study and advancement of the science of fire prevention, protection, and suppression as well as emergency and medical response preparation and readiness, including the abiltity to buy, own, lease, rent, and hold real and personal property and operate and maintain said property for the purpose of carrying out, advancing and accomplishing its purpose and objective.
