The institute continued its primary initial program of developing the library of books as the credible core canon in understanding the interplay of science, technology, Culture and religion. The institute and international society for science and religion (issr) are collaborating with an editorial advisory board to select works to be included in the library. The institute then additionally acts as support agent and payment processor for issr in the production of the books. By using grants from issr, the institute assisted in identifying the initial library and acquired on behalf of issr to distribute in 2012 4,621 of books through facilitating the purchase, binding, fulfillment and shipping of the books. These books are produced and distributed by issr after completion. At december 31, 2017, the institute was holding in escrow 17,394 of issr funds for books that were to be produced through the institute's guidance. These books are being distributed to over 150 university libraries.
