The purpose of the National center on Family homelessness, inc (ncfh) is to conduct research, training, program development & policy initiatives directed towards ending Family homelessness. Effective october 1, 2012, ncfh became a controlled affiliate of the American institutes for research in the behavioral sciences ("air"). Ncfh and air both conduct and apply behavioral and social science research and provide evidence-based support to government agencies and private organizations that serve children, youth and families. Upon affiliation, air became the sole member of ncfh.
