To foster the development in the community of an appreciation of the arts, by promoting and producing, and causing to be produced, artist's productions and entertainments, and by taking part in activities having that end in view. To establish, equip, maintain, and operate activities for citizens: to encourage the organization and establishment of parks and recreation opportunities by municipal, county and other public authorities: and to stimulate the interest of the public in the extension of the park and recreational movement; to raise funds for the construction and equipping of parks and recreation facilities to supplement municipal and county facilities; and to encourage the acquisition and expansion of open space throughout hudson county. To work to inprove and rejuvenate the environment and public facilities. To expand and encourage economic opportunities for women, minorities and the disadvantaged.
