United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of the Plumbing & Pipe

The principal purpose of steamfitters Local union no. 420, of the United association of journeymen and apprentices of the plumbing and pipe fitting industry of the United States and Canada, is to elevate the trades of steamfitting/pipefitting, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, instrument calibration, valve repair, energy management, and service and maintenance, and to assist its members in securing and stabilizing employment. The union represents steamfitters in collective bargaining and negotiations with employers throughout the Philadelphia area and the greater lehigh valley in Pennsylvania. The Local labor union consists of approximately 4,764 members, including retirees.
