GJDC envisages Jamaica as a vital and diverse downtown for all of those who work, live, shop or visit here. We see downtown Jamaica as a mixed-income residential community including affordable housing. At its center is a multi-modal transportation nexus, including train, subway, bus service and connected to jfk international airport via airtrain; supporting our commercial corridors. We seek to enhance downtown Jamaica as an attractive place for private investment which will also support cultural activities and amenities that enhance the quality-of-life for its citizens.
