To encourage, receive, and administer gifts for the benefit of the Chappaqua Library and to cooperate with and support the Library in developing its services and facilities. The Friends of the Chappaqua Library will seek to provide gifts to the Library for special items or projects not covered in the Library's operating budget. The organization will welcome requests from the Library. The Friends wish to fund purchases and projects most visible and of direct benefit to the Public. The activities of the organization will include efforts to accomplish the following: a) encourage gifts and provide financial aid to the Library, b) Acquire equipment, books, and other materials needed by the Library, c) Inform the membership and the Public of organization activities and Library events and d) Aid in the development of Library programs.
