Providing professional Dance theater and COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES - The ROD Rodgers Dance Company has had since its inception an ongoing commitment to extending the reach of professional Dance theater to minority and multi-ethnic, diverse and inclusive audiences including those who have been traditionally under-served culturally. The company therefore goes into the community with a series of concerts, classes, workshops and lecture-demonstrations. The programs serve to educate and expose the community in the ART of Dance. Instruction and training The company holds classes at our recently renovated studios in Lower Manhattan on the East Side of NYC, we also have training programs at public schools, community organizations and other like venues primarily aimed at multi-ethnic youth and adults also including special needs and ESL (English as a 2nd language) students. Tuition is low and many students are on scholarships.
