To support and defend the constitution of the United States and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to instill loyalty and allegiance to the United States and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to improve performance of members of law enforcement, to promote law and order, to encourage social, charitable, and educational activities among peace officers, to advocate and strive for uniform application of the civil service merit system of appointment and promotion, to create a spirit of esprit de corps ensuring fidelity to duty under all conditions and circumstances, to cultivate a spirit of fraternalism and mutal helpfulness amoung our members and the people we serve, to better conditions of peace officers, and provide support for the burial of deceased members and their families, and to establish public confidence in the service dedicated to saving life and property.
