Public Defender Association of Pennsylvania

To promote and preserve high standards for the representation of the indigent accused of crime or delinquency. To promote an inter-change of ideas and experience concerning functions in the field of criminal defense throughout of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. To provide information to the Public relative thereto, to foster sound legislation in such field; to establish standards of personnell and work; to cooperate with the judiciary, the bar and all organizations interested in the administration of jutice; and to participate as amicus curiae in important appellate criminal cases.
