Camp Compass is a unified, collaborative effort dedicated to introducing urban, middle, and high school students to a wide range of outdoor activities. Central to this mission is not only direct engagement with youth, but also partnering with community organizations, local businesses, and mentors who share a commitment to expanding access and opportunity. By working together and strengthening the efforts of like-minded groups, Camp Compass amplifies its impact and extends its reach. Programs are designed to provide inner-city youth with an understanding of conservation, sportsmen's philosophies and the values associated with outdoor recreation. A team of volunteer mentors guide participants in enrichment activities such as hunting, fishing, archery, tutoring, and cultivating social skills. Through a structured environment, participant youths build self-esteem, learn essential life skills and are empowered to make positive choices for their future.
