The Louisville Film Society is dedicated to providing resources and support to local filmmakers as well as enriching the Greater Louisville community through exposure to engaging and innovative films and cinematic programming. Founded in 2007 by a band of passionate volunteers, we received our non-profit 501(C)(3) status from the IRS on June 25, 2008. Since then we have primarily remained a volunteer run organization although employ part time contractors on an as needed basis.
