Leadership Southeast Texas

Leadership Southeast Texas is an educational program designed to identify leaders of Southeast Texas, and to motivate them to exercise their position as regional and community leaders. To accomplish that purpose, the organization has the following objectives. 1. To promote better understanding of the Southeast Texas community, including opportunities and strengths created by acting as a region regarding issues of mutual interest and concern; 2. To identify and to study regional issues significant to the development of Southeast Texas as a community, such as economic development, crime prevention, education, the environment and other issues that affect Southeast Texas; 3. To act as a forum for the discussion of issues on a regional basis and to promote and encourage the initiation of innovative regional approaches to those issues; 4.
