Indian Fine Arts Academy of San Diego (ifaasd) is a non-profit community- based organization with the mission of promoting Indian classical music, dance, and arts in San Diego and in our neighboring communities (http://indianfineart.org). It's mission is to create an environment of learning and appreciation of Indian classical music, dance, and arts. Our goal is to promote events which are intellectually stimulating, culturally enlightening, and emotionally therapeutic. The programs are recorded for educational purposes and will be made available for local schools, colleges, and universities for educational purposes. The organization has held 16 public benefit concerts during this period featuring renowned artists from india and Canada. Over 7000 attended and benefited from these events. In addition, the Academy conducted workshops and lecture- demonstrations by well-known musicians and dancers. Over 120 children attended and benefited from these events.
