Our tax-exempt purpose is four-fold:(1) to serve as an open industry forum for the development of a global standard for the interface of ip-based physical security products;(2) to develop standards to ensure interoperability between ip-based physical security products regardless of manufacturer of origin;(3) to provide for a common protocol for the exchange of information between ip-based physical security devices including automatic device discovery, video streaming and intelligence metadata; and(4) to improve conditions in the ip-based physical security products industry and, ultimately, to benefit consumers.
