To safeguard the contractual rights, tenure, salaries and conditions of service to its members; to represent bargaining unit members in collective bargaining and in all other dealings with the administration / board; to promote and support standing and ad-hoc working groups that maintain an interest and expertise in matters concerning the conditions and terms of services, and social facilities for members.
