Our mission is to enrich the health and well-being of those diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers for life by educating, funding and delivering integrative therapies. Backed by modern science, integrative therapies are shown to support patients' ability to adhere to their medical treatment plans and improve their quality of life. These therapies must be accessible to all. Unite for HER answers that call, where our participants report a reduction in side effects from medical treatments, better adherence to treatments, a reduction in stress, a reduction in financial strain, and an improvement in emotional well-being. Key Highlights This year, Unite for HER celebrated a remarkable milestone - our 15th anniversary as a nonprofit. What began as a local mission has now grown into a national movement, serving more than 37,500 breast and ovarian cancer patients - women and men newly diagnosed, as well as those living with metastatic disease. With our membership now surpassing 10,000 individuals each year, the need for expansion was undeniable. In response, we joyfully opened the doors to our new permanent home, a 7,800-square-foot headquarters purchased by Unite for HER in Malvern, PA. This investment not only reflects the stability of our organization but also ensures a lasting foundation for the future. Unite for HER continued to grow and innovate in fiscal 2025, expanding access to our signature Wellness Passport Program. This year, we provided integrative care support to 6,090 members nationwide through our Passport Program, services, virtual offerings, and direct home delivery. Our unique program and online community educate both newly diagnosed breast and ovarian cancer patients, as well as those living with metastatic disease, on the power of integrative therapies. These include medical acupuncture, Oncology massage, reiki, yoga, fresh vegetable shares, meal delivery, meditation, exercise, professional counseling, and whole-food nutrition counseling - all designed to ease the side effects and symptoms of traditional treatment. In response to overwhelming demand, we launched the Empowered Living Program - a complementary initiative ensuring that no one is left behind, regardless of diagnosis date or disease stage. Through this program, members receive a care box delivered to their homes, connecting them to vital education, 6 week in-person workshops and our vibrant online community. Built and staffed in-house, Empowered Living has allowed us to scale sustainably while meeting patients exactly where they are. This year, 4,538 individuals participated in the Empowered Living Program, bringing the total served across both programs to 10,628 members, 3,000 more than anticipated. In October 2024, Unite for HER proudly launched a strategic partnership called Care for HER, with TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance, to shine a light on the disparities Black women face in breast cancer care. Together, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we led a powerful campaign to educate the public, deliver culturally aligned nurse navigation, and expand access to integrative therapies. Through this collaboration, Black women with breast cancer received direct support - an important step toward advancing health equity and improving outcomes. Building on this progress, we look forward to presenting our findings, ensuring that the voices and needs of Black women remain at the forefront of breast cancer research and care. Fiscal 2025 also marked meaningful growth and expansion for our Wellness Program in Delaware, made possible by the generosity of the Longwood Foundation and the Delaware Community Foundation. With their support, and other meaningful donations, Unite for HER served 246 individuals with breast and ovarian cancer across the state. The outcomes from this expansion demonstrate the true impact of our model of care: 83% reported our program reduced at least one financial strain. 71% agreed it helped them remain on their prescribed medical treatment plan. 90% agreed it improved their quality of life. 90% reported decreased stress levels. 76% reported significant improvement in side effect management. 16% were able to eliminate at least one prescribed or over-the-counter medication. 86% agreed it helped them eat healthier foods. These results are more than numbers - they are lives transformed. They show how integrative care can ease financial burdens, restore balance, and improve health outcomes for those facing cancer. We are honored to share this data as proof of the life-changing difference Unite for HER makes, and as a roadmap for expanding our Wellness Program to other States eager to bring this critical support to their cancer communities. We continue to link arms nationwide with organizations and corporations that share our goal of bridging health equity gaps and supporting those underserved. This has allowed us to make a significant impact in underserved, underrepresented, and under supported communities. Our national presence prioritizes this mutual goal, by providing critical access to integrative therapies for women of color, knowing that the mortality rate for Black women is 41% higher than that of white women. We have become a trusted resource for resolving health inequities, with partners committed to our mission. Currently, 57% of the members we serve are from underrepresented and underserved communities. This year, Unite for HER expanded our reach and impact through innovative education and community programming designed to empower patients in their own care. Through the HER Speaker Series, Virtual Hangouts, and Ask the Expert education events, we engaged our community with accessible, trusted resources that received more than 35,500 views. Over the course of the year, we hosted 61 Wellness Orientations, 48 live cooking demonstrations (with 2,389 participants), and 26 six-week Wellness Workshops - for a total of 219 virtual outreach events. Our online campaigns also broke new ground. During a month-long "Potty Talk" initiative, using Reddit, a new social engagement platform for us, which addressed the gastrointestinal side effects that can lead some women to abandon treatment. We reached an incredible 1.6 Million impressions, ensuring women felt supported and informed. These UFH Connect Education Programs not only deliver education but also foster self-advocacy. Members consistently report feeling more confident in discussing treatment and lifestyle decisions with their healthcare providers because of the knowledge and community gained through Unite for HER. Each month, leading experts lend their voices to create a safe, supportive space rooted in hope, trust, and empowerment, keeping the patient voice at the center of everything we do. Our investment in education has yielded strong results: This year we experienced significant engagement, with a 15% increase in the total reach of educational content, 8% increase in On Demand views, 48% increase in Live Attendance, and 31% increase in subscribers. All of this can be found in our newly designed HER Library for ease of access. In Fiscal 2025, Unite for HER strengthened its leadership and governance to support our continued national growth. We proudly welcomed three new board members - Dr. Lola Fayanju, Dr. Stefania Nolana, and Rachael Ray - each bringing expertise in critical areas to guide our expansion. In addition, we appointed two new professional advisors, Dr. Maryam Lustberg and Colleen Proctor, whose insights will further enhance our programs and impact. Our mission is powered by people. Alongside our dedicated 400 annual volunteers, we hosted 16 employee giving days and corporate box builds this year. These events not only engage corporate partners in meaningful service, but also directly fuel the growth of our signature Care Box Program. Each care box is delivered to a patient's home as their first point of entry into Unite for HER's services, and thanks to the generosity of our corporate teams, the contents are both fulfilled and funded as part of their give-back. Our voice and expertise also continue to shape the national conversation on integrative cancer care. Our CEO and senior leadership team were honored to serve on multiple roundtables, boards, and panels, sharing our program findings, advancing strategies that help patients adhere to treatment, and aligning with advocacy partners who share our vision of equitable, and whole-person cancer care. Together - with our board, advisors, volunteers, corporate partners, and advocates, Unite for HER is building a strong foundation to ensure every patient feels supported, cared for, and empowered. "It is a luxury to take care of oneself; it is an honor and a privilege to take care of others."
