Fund raising for amphitheater expenses - foundation was organized to own and operate an amphitheater to help perserve and grow the arts in lexington fayette county and the bluegrass region of kentucky. Operations of the amphitheater owned by the foundation began in the fall of 2010. In 2016 the operations and management of the amphitheater began being handled by the lexington fayette county government parks and recreation division. In july of 2018 the amphitheater was donated to the lexington fayette county government to own and continue operating as a public amphitheater. Moondance foundation inc is now used for fund raising for the amphitheater.
