To promote a greater appreciation for and understanding of contemporary art made in Asia or by artists of Asian descent. The organization's purpose is fulfilled by collecting information on contemporary Asian art and making it publicly accessible, providing a platform for the exchange of ideas, supporting research and writing in the field, and instigating dialogue and critical thinking to develop a broader audience for and a deeper understanding of visual art by artists in Asia or by artists of Asian descent.
