Academy for Urban Leadership Charter High School

The Academy for Urban Leadership Charter School (the "Charter School") provides a full range of educational services for grades 7 through 12. These services include a regular as well as special education and basic skills instruction. Pursuant to state of New Jersey statutes (n.j.s.a.18a:36a-17 and n.j.a.c 6a:11-2.3(b)) the Charter for Academy for Urban Leadership Charter School was revoked by the New Jersey commissioner of education effective june 30, 2025 due to the persistent and pervasive challenges in organizational stability, Leadership retention, instructional quality, along with the ongoing inability to meet educational standards. In its february 2025 special board meeting, the board of trustees approved a dissolution plan as prescribed by the New Jersey department of education. The terms of the plan call for the complete cessation of all academic activities and the disposition of all capital assets owned by the Charter School including the remaining unexpired term of leases.
